Flooring Services

FloorTransition&TrimWorkinRaleigh,NCTheFinishThatCompletestheInstall

Clean threshold strips, matched baseboard trim, stair nose finishing, and caulk work between every flooring type and room — the detail that separates a polished install from an unfinished one.

Transitions & Trim

The Detail That Finishes the Floor

Every doorway, room boundary, and stair edge needs a clean transition. Mismatched strip colors, exposed edges, and loose baseboard are the first things homeowners notice — and the first things guests notice too. We treat trim and transitions as part of the installation, not an afterthought.

  • T-bar, reducer, and threshold transition strips
  • Hardwood-to-tile and LVP-to-carpet transitions
  • Baseboard and quarter-round installation
  • Stair nose and landing trim finishing
  • Color-matched and species-matched options
  • Clean caulk and paint touch-up on trim

Transition Types

Every Junction, Covered

T-Bar & Reducer Transition Strips

Every doorway and room boundary needs the right strip profile. T-bar transitions connect two floors at the same height — the most common scenario in open-plan homes with continuous LVP. Reducer strips handle the height difference between flooring types (LVP to tile, hardwood to carpet). We measure every junction, select the correct profile, and color-match to your flooring before ordering.

  • T-bar for same-height flooring-to-flooring transitions
  • Reducer for height-change transitions (LVP to tile, hardwood to carpet)
  • Color-matched and species-matched profiles — no mismatched silver strips
  • Hardware track fastened to subfloor — not the flooring — for a squeak-free result

How We Work

Our Transition & Trim Process

Step 1

Measurement

We measure every doorway, threshold, and room boundary where a transition strip or trim piece is needed.

Step 2

Material Match

Transition strips, baseboard, and quarter-round are selected and color-matched to your flooring and wall finish.

Step 3

Subfloor Fastening

T-track and transition hardware is secured to the subfloor — not the flooring itself — for a stable, squeak-free result.

Step 4

Trim Installation

Baseboard and quarter-round is installed, nailed, and set — tight to the wall and the floor surface.

Step 5

Caulk & Touch-Up

Joints are caulked, nail holes are filled, and wall touch-up paint is applied for a clean finished look.

Why Choose Us

The JEVN Difference

Every Transition Matched

T-bar, reducer, end cap, and threshold strips are selected and color-matched to your specific flooring materials — no mismatched metal strips or exposed edges.

Stair & Landing Finishing

Stair nose profiles are fitted precisely to each tread, secured properly, and finished flush — the detail that makes the difference between a polished install and a rough one.

Clean Caulk & Paint

Every baseboard and quarter-round run is finished with a clean caulk line at the wall and touch-up paint — the final detail most crews skip.

From Homeowners

What Our Clients Say

Javid just renovated our bathroom for a condo we just bought. The bathroom was in bad need of an update and is now BEAUTIFUL. What was dark and cramped is now bright, luxurious, and feels at least twice as big. He's a perfectionist. He did fantastic work, and finished very fast without cutting corners. He also gave great suggestions for Airbnb-friendly features and his pricing was very good. Javid is very kind, professional, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Javid for any bathroom remodel or Airbnb upgrade.

Rosa C

Very happy with the work. Everything was done professionally, cleanly, and with great attention to detail. Communication was easy, the process was smooth, and the final result came out excellent. Would definitely recommend! 5 ⭐️
